We took Mickey and Karen out to dinner last night, to celebrate Mickey’s new job and Kevin’s buyout of Mickey’s business. Tyler behaved very well, even though he hadn’t taken a very long nap that day, and was pretty tired.
While we were waiting for the food to come, all of a sudden Ty sat down on the bench and popped his feet up in the air and they were bare! He had decided to take his shoes off. I decided to pick my battles and just let him go barefoot. Of course, then he wanted to go to the bathroom to “wash-a-hands!”. So I took him there (yes, barefoot!) and Tyler greeted every person we passed on the way to the restroom. It is so funny to watch people’s reactions as a little boy cheerfully waves his hand at them and says “hi! hi!”.
After washing his hands and relieving the automatic towel dispenser of most of it’s towels, we left the restroom. Ty pulls his hand out of mine and dashes down the aisle chanting “tell daddy! tell daddy!” He just loooooves that automatic towel machine! 🙂
I think the funniest part of the evening was when Tyler got a taste of my soda. I didn’t know this, but apprently when Ty is over at Mickey’s and is eating something, Mickey will say “That’s delicious!”. So when Tyler took a sip of my soda, his eyes got wide, he put both hands over his mouth for a minute, then smiled and said “oh, that’s deee-lish-ussss!”. We almost fell out of our chairs laughing! 🙂
