Hey Little Bug

As we were leaving the house the other day, Tyler saw a little beetle crawling across the mud-room floor.  He bends over to inspect it, then crooks his finger at it and says in a squeeky falsetto “hey little bug, c’mere.  c’mere little bug.”   Where did he learn that?  How do they pick up these things so young?
