Tyler had his first plane ride this weekend! Friday we took a plane from Manchester, NH to Baltimore, MD. We decided to buy Tyler his own seat, instead of holding him in our laps. That was a well spent $160! I can’t imagine flying with a toddler and having to hold him in your lap. With his own seat, he did just fine. I wondered if he would get scared during take off, but I had just pulled out the “secret weapon” (Mr. Potato Head) right before, and he didn’t even notice what the plane was doing. He was WAY too interested in checking out his new toy.
While we were there, we stayed with my sister-in-law Kathy and her family. On Saturday we went to Kevin’s mom’s house for a big family cookout. It was nice to see a lot of Kevin’s family that we haven’t seen in a while. Robby and two of his sons, his daughter-in-law and his granddaughter were all there too! Monday we went to see my Aunt Brenda and Uncle Tom, and the rest of the time we spent hanging out at Kathy’s, just resting and relaxing.
We flew back Tuesday, and again Tyler did great on the plane. No one got food poisoning or anything, so the trip was a great success! 🙂
