This year was the first time we took Tyler trick-or-treating. We walked along with our neighbor from up the street, Jordan (she’s 5) and some of her friends. Tyler wore a kitty cat costume that Jordan gave him, and I decorated his face to match. It didn’t take him very long at all to figure out the whole concept. “Hey, if I walk up to people’s houses and hold out my pumpkin, I get yummy treats!” 🙂 We did manage to get him to say “thank you”, well, most of the time anyway. Sometimes he was just too shy.
One of the things I noticed about the whole thing was that it seemed to be as much fun for the parents as for kids! It was almost like a mini block party. We all chatted and visited while walking around the neighborhood with the kids. We really enjoyed ourselves!
